Disney Baby
The Disney Baby website featured a few of my pictures in a post about May being national photography month! I was so excited to be approached and asked to use some of my pictures.

Three Simple Steps to Manual!
In case you missed my last class I have another one set up for May 18th in Lexington! I can teach you how to use your DSLR on manual mode. It's so much easier than you think and so very important in order to take great consistent shots. Go to this link for class info! Space is limited so don't delay!

Not your average school pictures | Ipswich preschool photography
For years I have been dying to do some school photography. I'm not really sure I know anyone that is happy with the blue background, fake smiles, and stiff poses you get with typical school pictures. I was thrilled when a client mentioned that her daughter's school was looking for a photographer to do their pictures. The whole process was very smooth from creating an information sheet to go home to the families to taking the pictures.
These pictures were taken in the middle of a field on a very sunny day. No complicated setup was used. No lighting, flash fill, or reflectors. Just my 70-200 lens which allowed me to keep my distance from the kids so they didn't feel uncomfortable with a camera in their face.
Delivering the digital file as their "product" made us all happy!
Each child ended up with at least three different pictures being sent to them plus if they had a sibling I was able to photograph them together. I kept shooting the same child until I knew I had more than one great one. You only get one picture with those big companies and if it's bad it's bad.
I even got a few print orders AND two full sessions out of connecting with these families which was all a big bonus for me.
I REALLY hope to work with this school again next fall and would absolutely love it if people would share this option with their own kids' schools.
If anyone is interested in passing this information along to their school I'd be glad to share the info sheet I sent to the families. Just send me an email to info@kerrygoodwin.com

This was such a fun session last summer. Mom called me with a great idea that I was so excited to attempt. She had a red sofa and wanted to attempt to get some black and white photos of the family with selective red color. She brought red balloons...

a red guitar...

and a red flower.

"Oh look, the red balloons are flying away!"

We had a fun encounter with a crab that Dad was brave enough to pick up!

Cape Cod Wedding | Lizzie and Kevin
I know I say this about every wedding but wow, was this a gorgeous wedding. Brewster was a 2.5 hour (very quiet) ride from my house. Lizzie was getting ready at her parents' summer home on the ocean. When I met Lizzie last February she told me she was from a town in Connecticut where I have family. I was surprise they didn't know each other!

How beautiful is this bride??

Kevin and the guys arrived so that we could take the formal shots on the beach before the ceremony.

First the guys needed to figure out how to put on the boutonnieres. Thank god for iPhones.

They were finally straightened out so I got some shots of them. At this point it was overcast which was great.

Before we got them all together for formal pictures we set them up for their first look at each other.

Kevin was beaming!

We all took a very short walk down to the beach.

Everyone was so nice and cooperative! For such a large group the were really, really great.

Once we were on the beach the sun started to come out. The sky out over the ocean was such an amazing color which also accentuated the color of the marsh and water.

Beautiful sisters!

When we got back up to the house I took some more pictures before driving to the ceremony site.

They had the ceremony at a park in Brewster. The chairs were all set up in a field and the guests were all ready for them!

The Captain's Golf Course was a beautiful reception site. Everything was very well done!
When I was done with the wedding I was planning on staying on the Cape for the night but I ended just driving all the way home. I was feeling very energized even after a very long day. This was such a wonderful event.
